Backstory

"My entire childhood, I was taught that Ifrit was a benevolent god. He gives us warmth, gives us light. Heretics and Blasphemers would have us killed for telling our truth. But now, in this city, I am told that I was wrong."Yama Gilda was raised among the Amalj'aa, after being abandoned by his Viera parents several years before the Calamity. Since then, he grew up with the culture, traditions and garbs of his scaly brethen, never once feeling as though he was different, in spite of the differences he has with his family.But when the calamity came, during his 16th birthday, the people who grew up with ran in fear and terror as Dalamud fell, and they fled Paglth'an for Southern Thanalan.Now, five years later, he has begun to dream. But his dreams are of a strange nature, involving a giant crystal who speaks only three words. "Hear.. Feel.. Think.."When he tells his kin about these dreams, they instruct him to follow these visions, and to pursue the truth of his past, leading him to a carriage, on the way to Ul'Dah.
